Funding & DHS Waivers
Ocel Builders is a registered Minnesota Medicaid provider with an active NPI and UMPI. That means we can bill Minnesota DHS waiver programs directly and work hand-in-hand with your county case manager — so accessibility is far more affordable than most families expect.
Minnesota's Medicaid waiver programs help people remain safely in their own homes instead of moving to a facility — and home accessibility modifications are exactly the kind of work these waivers are designed to fund. As a licensed, registered provider, we handle the paperwork and coordinate with your case manager.
| Waiver | Who it's for |
|---|---|
| Elderly Waiver (EW) | Adults 65+ who need a nursing-facility level of care but want to stay home. |
| CADI Waiver | Adults under 65 with disabilities (Community Access for Disability Inclusion). |
| CAC Waiver | People with chronic medical conditions needing hospital-level care at home. |
| BI Waiver | People with a traumatic or acquired brain injury. |
| DD Waiver | People with developmental disabilities or related conditions. |
An NPI (National Provider Identifier) and UMPI (Unique Minnesota Provider Identifier) are the credentials that let a contractor bill Minnesota Health Care Programs directly. Many companies that install ramps and stair lifts don't have them — which means you'd pay out of pocket. Because Ocel Builders is a registered provider, waiver-funded work can be billed properly and approved through the normal county process.
